Scott is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor in the USA system) in the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art, all within the University of Edinburgh. He is a researcher and instructor interested in connections between human well-being and the environment. Scott researches these connections using spatial and statistical tools to better understand how the natural world impacts people.

Scott is also the Programme Director for the MSc Landscape and Wellbeing
